IS IPB 1.3 allowed on this host? Wondering that cause I am thinking of using it. It was free before too.I have one with security problems fixed. =] Thanks for any answers.
It is, but isn't recommended, the amount of vulnerabilities is alarming.

Yes, I know. I have one with lots of security updates done by a friend. Is 1.3.1 allowed then if 1.3 is?

I don't follow Ipb, but providing it's legitimate, yes.

So you are saying that I can use 2.0 if I downloaded it while it was free?

Nulled is a word used by internet pirates and thieves. Not by corporations that release software. So of course IPBoard doesn't have a nulled version, cuz thats illegal!

I believe that anything before 1.4 is legally distributed free.
I do not recommend it though. The amount of problems and security issues will drive you insane enough to shut yourself down. In my humble opinion, go and get yourself phpBB (v3 is being released very soon). It is a good free system.

AS I had said in another thread, from what I can remember, you had to have 1.3 already downloaded before they released their new paid version. So if you download it today, it's technically illegal since IPB doesn't distribute it on their site.
But they could have changed that since.
Either way it's not like they'd find out.
And also who would want to use version 1.x just because of all the security issued (as bread and narzy mentioned) and it's lacking all the great features that makes you want to use IPB now-a-days anyway.
