Full Version: Cannot Install Templates In Joomla

When I try to install templates in Joomla it first starts and then no error or nothing finishes and when I go to check if the template was installed then nothing is displayed. (template is in .zip file)

You have to extract it first. Then FTP it all up to the server.

Still not working wacko.gif I made templates folder writable and everything still when i try to install a template it says something like this

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* Unable to create destination

This is the second topic about a similar error! Now I think that the problem is in the "safe mode=on".
First possible way to fix it: CHMOD the tmp folder 777
Second way: Try to use the FTP layer in General Configuration.

Anyway have a look at general information in "Joomla -> Help -> General Info" and have a look at the permission!
You'll probably have an infinite list of folder that need to be chmodded 777...
