As of right now, no, i do not have a working webpage. Actually i havent even started anything.

Right now i was getting the FTP to work and to see if i could link an image from my directory, to another website so that it would update as the image updated with the FTP.

Im trying to attempt what a friend of mine has done on her site, www.Shriker.ca

on the right hand side there is a picture under the header "Deskcam"

That is what i am trying to acomplish.

But i have run into a problem. the image does not show up on this other site. It is a broken image file and when clicked on it says that the adress you have selected is not open for the public.

I have searched around on the forums but the only solution i have found is to make sure that you have the index file present in your directory. And it is.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is the hotlink protection so the hosting can't be used as an image host / file host.

It can't be disabled, perhaps if you need to host an image, somewhere like http://imageshack.us would be better.

those image hosting sites do not have FTP unless you are subscribed -.-

Well, off to google to search some more for free sites with FTP.
