To me it looks like the layout is all over the place. The rendering needs a lot of work as it does not completely show the entire layout or should the layout be like that. I attached a screen shot of what I see.
The navigation needs some sort of hover effect, without it looks a bit too plain. The calendar is way too bright. It hurts my eyes. The blue color over the random red is not a good combination.

Overall it looks like a very random layout.

I think he's using one of those java based calendars that randomly changes colors

I have to agree with Shipon's original post, but the first thing that struck me as 'odd' was the image of yourself (I'm assuming that's you). Not the actual image, but it wasn't cut out very well. If you feather it out a bit it might look better.

I would suggest you to put your pic in the "About me" page. and just little bit caring for the color scheme.
and organize your objects.

maybe the calendar is very important to your website, but im not very interested in the way it looks like.
