This bulletin board software is free software. It is written in PHP and MySQL.
AEF has a very simple and easy to use Administration Panel and installing this software is a piece of cake! You can install new themes, customize themes the way you want. The User Control Panel has a simple yet beautiful interface where users can set their preferences for the board.
It is indeed much better than Invision Power Board or VBulletin. I recommend it.

I much prefer IPB over any forum software. Personal preference, but it's what I'm used to, since all the forums i've ever been a part of have been IPB. Some were phpBB but I didn't stick around those for long. The IPB interface is just so much nicer.
Well according to my personal preference, I am used to ipb. Anyhow, many people cant afford to buy ipb, rather they upload nulled scripts.
I completely agree... but I can't say that AEF or any other forum software is "better" than IPB. The only thing that makes it better is the price tag.

I personal prefer IPB. Only because I have been using it since 1.0 and it has just so many features that can be used for such a wide variety of purposes.
phpBB3 is the nicest free forum software though.
