After re-designing my site, I am not sure whether I want a blog now. They seem so annoying when I come across one because everyone has them now.

I prefer portfolios even though they are pretty much the same thing, i believe its nicer to be able to get hired to do something rather than just sharing yourself

I have to agree with Liqfan. I think this topic should be moved. In anycase, I have a blog set up but haven't really used it at all. Just made some random posts to take up space. You can view it here

I personally think that blogs are great for companies, because it's an easy way for them to provide news, happenings, updates, etc, and even a personal blog every once in a while. But I think for a personal site, it really depends.

All companies should have a blog, and all their important people should have access to write in them.
