The extension .mp3 is not allowed and if your are trying to use the PHP mail function, it is disabled also.

The above is a quote from NaRzY

Is the sendmail function something you would enable if one told you exactly what they were going to do with it, or is it something one would need to pay for?

EDIT: ok, found that answer, which is really a put down. I can't seem to get a SMTP to work with my site, and I was hoping that it was an ask-them-to-enable-it-then-they-will kind of thing. I don't think I wil be able to remain with Zymic, as the site I have absolutely REQUIRES e-mail.

Unless some kind mod (I would only trust a mod) out there will help me make a SMTP work....

yes, mail is very important for sites that require registration/pass recovery
maybe in the future...

Currently, there are no other alternatives to this. (Hmm, I think XyberForce had a way around it using Flash...Don't know how it turned out though.)
It is proberly easier to pay the $10 for it. Better yet, pay $15 and get safe mode turned off at the same time.

So..........Does that mea that because of a setting, a SMTP won't work either? The guys that made the script never answered whether or not SMTP is something the host controlled.

The program has SMTP fields, but I haven't been able to make it work. So is it OE, or is this something on Zymic's end?

I would do as you suggested, but I have no budget as of yet, not even a measly $15.

I suppose I will have to make a companion forum site with all the news and info if SMTP is disabled by Zymic.
Andrew
SMTP would work if safe mode was turned off (and if you were using your own smtp server)
But since SMTP and the Mail function are both turned off for everyone's account, the only way to get email working is to pay.

ok, thanx. I have absolutely no budget, so I have my work cut out for me.....I am going to have to open a companion forum for my site if I want to stay with Zymic, which I do.
Jacob
$15 is a small price to pay to allow so much more freedom. It allows you too do a whole help of things you couldn't on a normal account.

I understand that.... however I have NO budget.......but if one was to pay, how would they?
Jacob
