Hi There,

I've opened a new site here, wanting to transfer all my stuff from freewebtown as this place gave me same options and not marked as "bad" by WOT. However, no matter what program i try to do uploading with, it either freezes up or takes ages or other issues, I need to transfer around 1.2gb of files (mostly albums, the main htmls have already finished).

Is there something i need to set up in my FTP program to make it go faster ?

Best Wishes,
Sefy

Albums? As in music albums?

No, photo albums i made myself from my trips, i just prefer to use my own website then have it hosted on others. Just regular jpg files, i did notice i am forbidden from using midi music files for some reason, but that's not a biggy. The only thing that bugs me so far is the seriously slow speed of uploading, i've got big guides and the images totalling 1.2gb and it will take a week at this speed.

Just have to make sure, afraid there's not a way to make upload faster, only suggestion is try to upload in non-peak times.

When is a non-peak time ?
It's just that when i try to upload, it's slow and always disconnects, but why aren't midi files allowed ?
Oh how big can one file be ? could i put a Linux Remaster ISO that is 2gb or am i pushing it? rolleyes.gif

Well about 1pm until about 3/4pm GMT seems to be a pretty decent time, The maximum filesize is 25mb. We're going to be rolling out new servers in the next month with faster hardrives, so you should see an increase of upload speed then.

Mmm.... i'm GMT+2 (it's near midnight now) so when do you think i should go at it? 6 to 8 am ? smile.gif
Pity on the file size limit, i would have uploaded my Linux Distro on it, would have saved me from the torrent hunter.gif
