Hey guys, is this meant to happen? I have no email acess on my forum, with the php function, and neither can i make it connect to an stmp server.

Email is crucial on my forum, it is require to send newsletters and complete registrations (I have had to disable confirmation emails, this is a big risk).

When I tried it said php was in safe mode

You can turn safe mode off and php mail on by paying Jack over here 10 bananas for each or 15 pineapples for both.

asking money for a feature critical to forum(email ) is not a good idea for a forum. i think it only makes a mockery of free hosting. any comments?

Might be free hosting but not many other free host allows you to have php mail for a small fee, so if you desprately need this then pay for it to be enabled.

I still cannot understand why people bitch about paying a one off $15 fee to allow more freedom? You would have to be thick to not understand it.

As posted in another thread, the payment is to try and weed out people who are serious about using the features for 'legitimate' needs. It's a one off charge, so it's not unfair at all.

In fact most hosts do not even offer Safe Mode or the PHP Mail function to be unlocked. So it is more then reasonable in my opinion.

well as easy as it sounds, having 20 AUD in my wallet right now, I have no way to get any money onto paypal because I'm only 14, this makes it impossible to pay for stuff.
