I really like browsershots.org but I can only get so many shots per day. When I'm creating a webpage I'm constantly checking and I reach my quota quickly. You can pay them buts it like $10 bucks a month... just another expense. Is there another site? or another way of obtaining different views of your site with little effort? lol
Thanks,
Kevin
P:S: I did a google search and didnt find anything, but might have been searching the wrong things.

Well first off it's browsershots.org (i'd suggest you change it in your original post just in case people want to check it out)
and second after a short google search all I could find was an IE8 screen shot site,
http://www.iecapture.com/ ... and a safari screen shot site
http://www.danvine.com/icapture/ both ran by the same person. Very limited. But apparently browsershots sourcecode is free and available, so maybe a bunch of us could get together and use each others computers to create our own like personal browsershots site? I looked at the svn but I have no idea where to even start with that :\
Download all the browsers.

Why do you not just do it via PhotoBucket? Or your hosting service?

you might be right trip, but that idea with photobucket makes sense kinda, would it be the same though as if it were resized in a web browser?

I have no idea what your thinking, photobucket does not take screen shots like browsershots. Unless it's a new feature I didn't know about?

Usually you only have to worry about IE6/7/Firefox 2/Firefox 3/latest Safari/latest Opera
It isn't too much of a problem to keep those on your machine. If you're having trouble with IE6 you might want to download
MultipleIEs which lets you install a bunch of different versions.

Awesome. Thanks for the link.
Download portable
Opera and
Safari while you're at it too.
Portable versions are better because they don't install AIDS on your computer.

I heard you can still get gonorrhea from installing Opera
Protip: You're not installing it. Just run the .exe

I think that the thing a lot of you are over looking about browser shots is that it not only allows screen shots from any browser, but also any resolution and several other options. The browser problem is easy, just download them, but how do you simulate different resolutions? Is it as easy as rescaling your design in PS?

Pretty cool, the availabilty of how messed up one's site can look with the different views of all those browsers! (you can't please everyone, so you got to please make the lesser of the evils). Thx for the info.

I have to disagree, it is possible to please everyone, i.e. render correctly in all browsers, with the exception of mobile ones I guess
