This is one of my first layouts (well the design, it's not coded).

its actually good. the typography could use some work though.

I really like it but my opinion might be a little biased since I love lime green so much.
I really like the two line navigation too. I think the only thing your missing is a footer area.

I think it looks really nice.
I do like the typogrophy in all and I also love the two-line menu thing.

The one thing I would change is have the top of the green box on the right side even with the top of the main text on the left side.
Right now you have the two texts aligned, but it looks odd to me so I would probably rather have the top of the box aligned witth the top of the main text.

And then above both put some kind of very subtle line across, centered between the three little boxes and the main content. Just subtle enough to notice but not like a bright lime green that's going to stick out like a sore thumb.

I like it as it is, providing there is an easy way to change the colour.

Green is not my thing, blue or red would look nice.
