This isn't a serious problem, but...

Whenever I press log out onthe PHPMyAdmin screen, it asks me to log in, rather than returning me to the control panel. I know just closing the browser works, but I'd rather log out properly!

Hope I'm not being stupid...

it seems to be a bug

Technically it's not a bug, because phpMyAdmin is something that anyone can download, and run on their hosting site. Since phpMyAdmin is it's own separate script it's logging itself out correctly.
