Not bad for tyour first try flyboy, is that a gradient in the grass? that's a no, no for a true vector. The rainbow doesn't look quite right the lines need to curve more. When I create vectors I use PS, I use only the pen tool and solid colors. This way creating a 'true' vector. Keep at it you're doing a great job.

Yeah i do everything in Photoshop but you cant make vector art in photoshop. Illustrator is the only real adobe product that doesnt pixilate when expanding images/layers. Aslo i am excellent using the pen tool. But need to get use to Illustrator . Had it months but never used it.
I went for simple. But maybe its too simple. Thanks for comments K.digennaro.

That isn't true. Photoshop can do vectors, Illustrator is just built around that kind of creating

Its real nice (you can see my reply on the Shrud Media Forum). I think you can easily integrate this vector onto a layout. Great work!

Yeah i will fix the grass as well as the Tree thats appearing as if its in amongst the clouds and also fix the rainbow.
I tried to add depth by varying the sizes of flowers and objects to appear smaller in the distance. All right for a first ever vector art.

I got one more suggestion flyboy, I would (personally) create the cloud that the rainbow is attached to as the main focus, maybe make it look a little better, and have a slightly brighter color to pop it forward.
Great Job!

Looking better flyboy, I like V3, my only complaint is the actual rainbow. I quickly drew a sketch of a 'shape', your rainbow doesnt quite flow when I look at it, notice where the below shape curves then compare it to how yours curves.

Again this is your piece and it really does look good, there are a couple things that seem off in my eyes, but if it looks right to you then leave it be. Everybuddy has a different sense for artwork.
Good luck,

Yeah thanks k.digennaro. I will edit the rainbow. I did state the rainbow needed to be fixed tho. But at least you have an eye for detail and errors. Does anyone else see any mistakes, I see a few. Hint Shadows /color contrast

Aslo the top part is ment to symbolize a color pencil in which the rainbow comes out from. The main focius is the rainbow that extends to the clouds and focuses on the text. I think i captures the focal point pretty effectively.

Ah sorry about that flyboy I missed that you stated that already hehe. The color pencil idea is a good one, but to be perfectly honest I only see it now that you mentioned it. Maybe try to create the top part to look more like a pencil?
Also the cloud at the bottom of the rainbow doesn't seem quite right to me, it seems like it should pop out more, I feel like the focus of your vector should go in this order: First you see the colored pencil, you follow it down till it hits the rainbow which then leads you to a cloud, the cloud should have a 'pop' effect so that it is focused on for several seconds before your eyes start to drift around your page and notice the details like the hot air balloon and the character in the grass.
A big part of art is being able to direct you art so the observer sees exactly what you want them to see and nothing more. When I first look at your vector I don't imediatly focus on anything my eyes kind of drift around. Which is a goal for a lot of artists, to get people looking around there image, but your image contains a 'focus'.
Any ways thats again my opinion think about it, take a look at your drawing, see where your eyes go.
