if you have looked at the other forums posts, then you will get the answer. vndv.com has got some issues on getting the website online but so far, this web server will be down for a while and will be back up soon. next time, please search why it is not working, and also look for the posts here.

Soooo.. what you're saying is that you are advertising "Free Hosting", but you don't actually host websites. Because it's not working right now. And that we should have checked with the forum first?

This is all a scam, isn't it? I've given you my email address in good faith, and now I'm going to get spam.

Thanks, now I have to navigate you CONFUSING website, to figure out how to delete my account.

Hi.

I'm sorry that you've obviously got the wrong impression. This is not a scam, and zymic does host websites. Visit robertsworder.vndv.com for proof - I am hosted with zymic under their vndv server.

Unfortunately, their server has gone into read-only - this means that static websites are up, but dynamic ones are down. This also means that you are currently unable to create a website name. If you try again tomorrow, hopefully they will be up. This temporary problem will be fixed, and they have a move to better hard drives planned for the near future.

Also, for some reason, account deletion is not possible - there just isn't that feature.

I'm sorry this has been so difficult.

PS Please note that I am neither an admin of Zymic, nor a moderator of this forum, so I have nothing to gain by Zymic "keeping your E-mail address for spam".

It's not a scam. You've just came here at the bad time. Due to server issues, zymic is currently moving or going to move into a new server. So look around and you'll find it is the case. And I've given my email and I haven't received any spam at all so your email is safe. Navigating into something you're not familiar with is confusing but that's only at first. You'll find yourself navigating around easily just as you'll find yourself getting comfortable on using a new script or software. Give it time. ^^

I am not spamming a web hosting website or anything. I'm just telling you that there are many posts on here telling you that the server is offline and also in write only. that means that you are not able to put files onto the server, nor can you edit anything. that's all I'm trying to say. you are dumb if you mark me confusing.

Sorry to bother but a couple of questions if I may. I moved to this site due to getting high speed internet and was not able to keep my old web site on aol. I had to move here to try and keep the site going. I teach Marine Corps JROTC and put the old site together by raeding and trial and error. This move is all new to me so here goes... today I tried to delete my old index page...which it did...now I cannot upload the new one as I get an error message. I'm beginning to get the jist of the read only issue but I need to know if this is a common problem. I have parents and students checking my site each day so I need advice as to if I should stick it our here or search on somewhere else. Before you suggest a pay site...my school does not pay for the sites. Anyway, input or advice from some of you that has been doing this a while would be appreciated. You can reply here or e-mail me at dbhsmcjrotc@aol.com.
Thanks
Andrew
Daniel, sadly this is an occuring problem, but only recently. Zymic Admins have said they are going to move the server to a new data center and get a new hard drive (the hard drive is messed up and is causing the read-only issues) soon. But until they do this is a problem we're all living with.

Seeing as your school doesn't pay for the website have you considered having some sort of Fund Raiser? I bet you could earn enough money to buy "some" amount of hosting. And no I don't work for Zymic, so me telling you to buy hosting isn't gaining me anything. But I've always found that paid hosting is infinitely better than free hosting. Just a suggestion though.
