Hey all,
My buddies have been playing together for a little under a year, we all love music and that's really the reason we started this band. We may not be the best musicians out there but we are just as motivated to play our music and have fun as any other band big or small.

Any ways today our first demo was released. We're working with the equalization a little still for our final album but check us out!

Nice work there Kevin. I look forward to your future works.

Please not this is contructive critiscism only:

I couldn't listen to more than 10 seconds of it, the voice is way too low, the symbols are way to loud, and what the fuck is that thing in the background? A guitar? Sounds more like you used a keyboard for that, I seriously thought it was going to be a techno song when it first started playing.

Now I might not have a full opinion on it since I couldn't really turn the speakers up since it's late (3am) but I'll listen again tomorrow and see if my opinion changes.
Jacob
The one you sent me sounded way better then this.

Jacob.

Thanks for the comments guys, thanks for the honesty trippin, and I believe wat youre hearing in the background in a used keyboard wink.gif lol. I think the reason it still sounds out of wack still is because the distortion is way to distorted and is over powering everything.

Here's a think to the one I sent Jacob.(I think this is the one I sent you)

Thanks,

Edit: I also just got in the new mics, this recording was all done on $20 mics lol, hopefully monday we'll record it with the new mics and see if it sounds any better, I think the mics we were playing through just weren't made to take that kind of distortion so they distorted it even more.

Edit: Actually I think your hearing the distortion in the begining trippin, there is a cheap key board that comes in toward the end though lol
Andrew
Sounds better than the one at the top, and it is a guitar with distortion on it. You still need to adjust the volumes, the symbols should not be that loud, and the singer needs to be turned up.
k.digennaro
Thanks for the feed back guys, that's why I put this up here, so we could get some more opinions, we are currently re-evaluating the song and we are going to re mix it hopefully monday
k.digennaro
Alright we re-mixed the track, check it out at www.reverbnation.com/nascentdescent. The vocals are much more clear here, symbol has been turned down, the guitars distortion is still a little heavy, but the only way to fix that is the new mics we just bought, we'll probably have another take at this monday. But please listen and tell me wat you think. We're far from perfect smile.gif

Thanks Guys,
Kevin DiGennaro

Edit: Also for those of you that want to hear a few of the mixes they're below, we choose the one on reverbnation, let me know which one you like the best. Most of these mixes I think the vocals need to be raised slightly.
