Last night around 9-10ish my mom and her friend lost control of his car and rolled five times into a ditch and then into a field. My moms friend wasn't wearing his seatbelt and was thrown out of the car (about the first flip) and my mother had her seatbelt on and went with the car for the full period. My moms friend got up and was looking at the car and realized that it was still running, and my mom was inside, so he started screaming her name to make sure she was alright, luckily she yelled back and he got her out and safe.
Soon after the cops arrived and started being assholes on the spot. They weren't acting concerned, there were acting as if my mom was a escaped convict. While giving my moms friend the "TEST" she was off a good 20 feet with her digital camera taking videos. When all of a sudden the cop started screaming at my mom, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? My mom answered back that she was filming and said that it wasn't against the law. He started coming up to her and said i know, and started trying to take the camera away, threatening to break it. He threw my mom on the ground face first (while still holding the camera) and threatened to taser her. As she hit the ground her back legs flew up from the impact of the blow and the cop said she was trying to kick him.
They wouldn't even let my mother call me to bail her out until over 8 hours later. We also came to find out that the COP had deleted all the videos except missed one.
Know isn't it against the law for a cop to beat my mom to the ground for video taping evidence, and then deleting the footage?
I fucking hate corrupt law enforcement.
Luckily my mom and her friend are alright, but i am personally pissed at the way the cops treating my mom as a felon, when she was the passenger.
On my moms report she had this:
Glassy Eyes <-> UM yea? She fucking had dirt ad broken glass in her eye!
Stumbling Walking <-> Wouldn't you be stumbling after a FIVE roll crash?
Resisting Arrest <-> The camera thing.

woah.
holy shit.
pretty amazed that your mom didn't get badly hurt after rolling in a ditch
five times.
I think you should complain about how the police treated your mom that night.
The police often abuse their position and people don't complain because they wanna stay out of trouble
They have no right to do that to her
and since when have you had to arrest someone for getting hurt?
The police legally should have just called an ambulance, and the insurance company would be responsible for any damage to the car.
I mean... they can't stop you taking pictures of your own car?
It's ridiculous. fucking assholes.
I remember a couple of weeks ago, some idiots from the house opposite decided to get drunk and and started throwing bricks at both my mom and dad's cars. One of the cars was a Honda CR-V, just a month old. All the windows were smashed and there were dents everywhere.
http://i23.tinypic.com/dzusyb.jpg We have a cctv camera at the front of our house that recorded the whole thing and we took pictures of the damage, then called the police. The police came about 2 hours later. They started asking questions which my dad saw to be completely irrelevant. So he asked him if he wanted to see the cctv footage and the officer said no, there would be no need for that. So my dad asked if they were gonna talk to the house opposite and they said that it was late and they didn't want to be disturbing people. They said they would come the next day, during the day time, but they never came back and that was the end of it.
bastards. lazy bastards.
can't be bothered doing their job...
Well yeah, lucky your mom and friend didn't get seriously injured.

Disturbing.
I'm sorry for what your mom and her friend went through. My whole family has been through many accidents and I can't imagine having them assaulted and thrown in prison on top of everything else.
Cops are way out of hand, I hear stories like this over and over again.
'Bout time to do something about it, perhaps?

Cops are so fucking retarded, there's too many fucking corrupt ones out there it's just not funny (and never fucking was!).
And you know what's worse about this whole situation? You can't do jack shit because you have no proof the cop used excessive force and corrupt behavior.
Still, glad your mum/friend are okay.

she wasn't...
the cop said for my mom to put the camera away....
she said why is it illegal? and he was like no, put it away or i'll break it...
(why couldn't she video tape it? thats my question)

And she wasn't resisting, they physically threw her into the ground, then threatened to tazer her.

Why was your mom taping it in the first place? As for the cop giving her verbal altercation, I don't know why he acted that way. But, not all cops act the same. Also, a tazer is just a 5 second ride, just tenses up your muscles.

Have you been tazered and know how it feels?...Unless she was disobeying a (reasonable) order they should not have done that, They could argue that the police officer gave her an order to put the camera away but then you can argue that there was no need to put it away lol

It was not lawful, She had every right to film the accident and take pictures for the insurance company

EMO, why do you hate cops?
If it werent for cops, our streets would be 10x worse. Yea, some of them abuse their power.
Your mother still should have listened to the cops...even if she had every right to film, you do not question the authority of one...under any circumstance.
What if they were investigating somebody, and you're mother's car fit the description/she fit the description of somebody that comitted a crime.
She was wrong to question the police, when you didnt even explain the situation from their point of view.
You gave us a bias opinion, from your point of view...
Tell us the story, or stop bitching on this thread.
Dwayne was correct, the cop gave her a lawful order.

i dont think your getting the point, the cops were already abusing their power as soon as they got on the scene. Thats why they deleted the rest of the video. I mean she was just in a 5 roll accident and they were already treating her like a convicted felon..
i dont hate all cops, only bastards who abuse their power...
----
also about the car that fit the description theory, there was no car left.....
