You have it like this http://savethepandas.vndv.com/Index.html
you need to change the Index.html to index.html all lower case.

Your Welcome smile.gif

I've noticed this as well, and have been able to access my forum using the method you gave. But is there no way to open up this main page so that my forums actually have a portal page, and the standard address works?

My site is: www.halowarscustom.vndv.com
and the forum url is: www.halowarscustom.vndv.com/forum

Whilst I have the forum working fine, it would be very useful to be able to use the main page as a homepage or portal, and it not being accessible makes navigating to my site that bit more awkward for new users. Does anyone have any advice?

It is possible to have non standard initial pages, using .htaccess, but this is complicated, and may not be enabled on this server.

It is far easier to change your file names and links or even to create a page simply to rediret people from vnv.com to vndv.com/forum.

Ok, as you may be able to tell I'm pretty new to all this, and so will take your word for it that its complicated etc.

Your suggestion sounds like a good solution though, would you be able to describe briefly how to do this for me? Or direct me to a guide of some kind?

Thanks for your assistance, I've been very impressed with the service and this support forum in my short time here, and its very much appreciated.

It's here under magic trick 2.

I will warn you that this may not be enabled on this server, and that it is very easy to have things go very wrong with .htaccess. I suggest trying in a seperate directory first...
