Full Version: Can I Upload Index.php File?
Zymic Webmaster Forums > Zymic Free Web Hosting > Databases & MySQL

Hi Guys,

I just created a free hosting account to upload my first ever official web site, made with php, mysql and xhtml. The home page is index.php. It works well on my local server. When i tried to upload it at zymic, it just displays a blank page!!!
The same case was with Geocities. I contacted Geocities twice, but they just refered me to php tutorial...

I would appreciate if anyone could clarify a bit... I'm sure that somehow it must be possible to upload and display php files - php is so common and useful!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Elena

It's useful if you post your site, so we can go and have a look at what's going wrong.

However, from your topic title, it might be that your file is called Index.php, rather than index.php - Capitalisation matters.

It's probably a source code error, I don't think your issue has to do with capitalization of file names, otherwise you'd be getting the Zymic 404 page.

Post your php source, and we can look it over and point out any errors. It could be something as simple as a missing quote or semi-colon.
