ok, I installed a thing called PNC on my hosting account. All PNC is is php-nuke. When my users register, they never get the activation email because it says that the php.ini file is in safe mode. I was told to upload my own but it wouldnt let me. Could someone help me with this because I apparently do not have access to the php.ini file. When I tried to upload my own, it said that it failed to move the file. And it had a loction on my server which I do not have access to.
So all I need help with is getting the php.ini file into "safe mode=off". This safe mode should be a line within the php.ini file and it should say something like "safe_mode=ON". What I want it to say is "safe_mode=OFF".
Please help ASAP.

Safe mode is on deliberately. It might be possible to have it turned off by paying Jack 10$, but I also think he might have stopped doing that. Join the irc to check.

safe mode is on to stop abuse to the Zymic servers. Jack had the option of turning it off for $10 but not anymore from what I hear.
You can look for an alternative, or you CAN actually get phpmail() turned on which would allow your users to get emails, but I don't think the script your using will work at all.

how do I get phpmail turned on?
And so if I can't get this email thing to work, I have to switch to a different host? Because I really like this host, all I need is for my users to get the activation email.

First, join the irc via the link on the forum index. Then, ask for Jack. He's not always around, but the best time seems to be afternoon, GMT time. He'll give you more details there.

To find out the exact details, contact Jack via the IRC. Be patient as it is not uncommon for no one to be active in there for hours on end.
I have also heard Jack stopped doing the Safe Mode off thing a while ago but didn't believe it.
Jacob.
