Sorry wozzym, but it's not in read-only atm. Erebo85, what details did you enter?

Sugarblossoms
This is the same problem with the FTP service in SMF forums through which one can install mods. It's not possible. I'm not sure which but the ftp function for this is disabled in this server, I think. Look through the Database forum... I think that's where I found similar problems there.

My ftp setting are the follow:
Enable FTP Off (becouse every time I change it in ON and save the config I've got the error)
FTP Host localhost ( I've tried also 127.0.0.1 and c-brain.vndv.com )
FTP Port 21
FTP Username c-brain
FTP Password ( the password i use with FileZilla )
FTP Root /www/vndv.com/c/-/b/c-brain/htdocs/ ( I've tried also "/" and blank but nothing is changed )

I've made some search on google but I don't found anything.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for my english!
Andrew
Ewebo85 Joomla won't connect because the FTP function in PHP has been disabled as Sugarblossoms has said.

The following libraries have been disabled:

curl - http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.curl.php

ftp - http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.ftp.php

sockets - http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.sockets.php

stream - http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.stream.php

I'll just reiterate this, outside connections on Zymic hosting are not permitted, so if an application / script requires it, they will not work upon the hosting.

Thanks for your reply.
so ftp is disabled to disable outside connection, but if i want to ftp to my site why I can't?

however, how I can install new extensions in Joomla?

i need to install another language and some template, but all the ways that joomla offer to install new extensions don't work on Zymic...
Andrew
I don't think you'll be able to install extensions in Joomla because this feature is disabled.

And they had to disable the whole function because there was no way to limit ftp to only your site from within php.

You can connect to FTP through an ftp client though, that is allowed.
