I'm working on a site for one of the members here, looking to get some feed back on my design so far. Pretty simple the color scheme really holds this layout together.

Way too dark in my opinion. And I can't read the text in the header at all... like not even a bit. And my contrast isn't set that low. If I turn the contrast all the way up and physically stand up i can see the image, but I should have to do all that to be able to make out what the header says. (I'm using an LCD monitor and it makes everything brighter when I'm at a higher angle)

I kind of like the glow going on around the channels box, but again it was impossible to see it until I turned my brightness up and physically stood up out of my chair. Maybe I'm the only one having this problem, but I don't have problems with other websites.

I don't have that problem, and I'm also on LCD. The bottom half of the writing is hard to see, as it kind of blends with the person, but I could make out what it was.

thanks for the comments, i agree the header text is a little hard to read, but i have no problem atleast on my screen with the glow, thats weird. Maybe ill Reverse the graidient in the text to make it stand out a little more. As for the color scheme, I know its dark, and for most website I wouldnt go so dark, but for this site it just seemed to fit, its actually the counter strike color scheme.

your getting better but agreeing with trippin there, and i think the rollover color is a bit...of an ugly color.

thanks wozzym ill take that as a compliment . As for the roll over, any suggestions on the color? I was trying for a gold yellow since its one of the CS colors lol maybe add a little of that blue to the current yellow so it doesnt stand out quite as much?

Okay I made the text in the header more visible, added some buttons in the upper right. Then added a little orange to darken the hover button. Also added an ad to fill that space at the bottom.

Any better? Any further suggestions?

dont take this personally, but the rollover color really seems like a turd color. i dont have suggestions unless your going to change the other color on the header too...

hmmmm I guess i didnt hit submit for my post...lol.

Any ways, I do agree it looks kinda like a turd lol. wat color are you talking about in the header? the brown in the center of the scoop? if so what color do you think i should use?

Hrm, no actual help from me, But I figured out it was my graphics card color settings that were messing up the image, I fixed it and looked at your image again, and it's MUCH more detailed. I feel like an idiot now :\
