I was curious, do any of you have a tattoo? I'm planning on getting my second tattoo soon. This is what I have on my left chest peck, it takes up the whole peck.

That's so tacky, owned for life. smile.gif

Never going to get a tattoo. I've thought about other, more symbolic, forms of body art but decided against it.

Owned for life? More of saying 'I will always be an American'?

One might argue that is synonymous with being owned for life. wink.gif

Anyway, that tattoo is still God-awful.

In you're own opinion, everyone else that has seen in when I had my shirt off said its tight.

There is a story to this one, its a friendship tattoo that my friend and I decided to get last night. Reason is, because a unit here is deploying in 3 weeks and was asking for soldiers, so we put our names in. All day our Sgts and other platoon members kept telling us its not a good idea to be deployed with out any training. So, we thought about it and realized it wasn't a good idea since it would be a new unit, meaning we'd be treated like trash until we showed what we could do, most likely lose our promotion, not know anyone but like 4 people, and 15 months in one of the deadliest places with out training, so I withdrew my name, but, my friend is still going. My friend who I've known for awhile now, and his mom and grandma said I'm like their second son/grandson, we decided to get this tattoo:

The meaning of this tattoo is:
QUOTE
Arrows are a powerful symbol to any warrior race for several reasons: not only do they indicate the ability and willingness to fight, by since they are usually made by the archer who will us them, they are highly personal artifacts. arrows nearly always carry the markings of the owner-a well-made arrow represents alot of hard work, especially if it has a flint or metal head. the symbol of two crossed arrows therefore can be used to indicate friendship between two people or tribes.

My friend and I decided to add the shield as a meaning of 'protection'.

I have a tattoo on my left shoulder blade.

Kinda distorted in the pic since I was kinda shrugging my shoulder.

Btw Dwayne, screw their opinions, I think your tattoo is bad ass. I'm not going in the Army or anything, just the Coast Guard after college. Proud to be an American. smile.gif

Thats a pretty tight tattoo. My friend has a Celtic Cross on his forearm, and is looking for something to put in the background, might give him the idea to put a flag on it like yours.

Thanks, I was also think about putting the flag in the background. but i chose this. so you could give him that idea too
