I've problem setting my own domain name in my free web hosting account.

I'm having nawaznet.co.cc domain registered at www.co.cc. Now I want to map this domain to my website which are hosted at skhan.uuuq.com. I've set both name servers at nawaznet.co.cc dns manager to ns1.uuuq.com and ns2.uuuq.com.

Now when I tried to add custom domain at zymic domain manager page as nawaznet.co.cc with extra domain choice selected then it rejects and stats the error which reads:

"This domain is disallowed. This domain cannot be added, since it is currently resolving to an IP address. Please try adding this domain again when it is no longer registered.".

However, when I try to put nawaznet.co then it was accepted. Holy Crap. No error for this domain, I confused as this is not registered.

So, my question is that co.cc is allowed at zymic for custom domain or not? or I'm mapping subdomain [nawaznet.co.cc] of www.co.cc which are acceptable.

Please resolve this issue or tell us what's the right procedure.

How long ago did you set them? It can take up to 48 hours to propagate, the dns servers used for checking are quite slow too so you have to be patient.

@Shahnawaz: You should enter nawaznet.co.cc into the box. However, first you must wait for the domain to propagate. This can take up to 48 hours. Try again tomorrow.

It has been 24 hours now and I'm able to enter nawaznet.co.cc into the box, this time no error and it accepts. However I've to still wait for nawaznet.co.cc to work as it's not propagate completely.

Hi, all! I've registered my domain adventist.in.ua at i.ua DNS-provider. Then I've changed its (domain) ns-pointers to zymic's. After that everything works O.K, I uploaded some files there. And now, when I want to see my site I can't do that, 'cause my DNS-servers tell me:

DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
DNS request timed out.
timeout was 2 seconds.
*** Request to local.net timed-out

Sorry, it was only my DNS-servers problem. It's been solved.

I try to rigister domain name.
My registrator says:"You must specify at least two DNS-servers located in different networks of class 'C' - ERROR!"

1) i have a domain regrister with another company its name is beuyweb.info. I transfer it and added it as a custom domain now i keep getting a 404 error message when i type in http://beuyweb.info .which reads . ( 404 Page Not Found!

You just have to wait until it propagates. It can take up to 48 hours, but should be sooner.

I have added my domain successfully, but when i try to access it i am getting an error - 401 error. If i try to access my domain over ftp it's all fine, but not in http. can u please suggest me what i have to do....

sorry- I must be really stupid - I have read the replies to this problem but still can't understand - where do I point the nameservers? I have tried to add my custom domain, but get the error saying it can't be added as others seem to have - but when don't see the option to point to the nameservers?!

I'm having a problem adding my domain name which is mass-specc.coop. I used the zymichost server.
I always get an error message saying "Domain name already exists". I haven't registered this domain before so I'm just wondering why this error message came up.

For anyone that's having issues adding a custom domain, You MUST change the nameservers FIRST at your domain registrar.

If you don't, you won't be able to add your domain to the zymic control panel.

I'm having an issue adding a custom domain.. the domain is www.sebastiancomsa.ro and if you type this in a browser due to the dns forwarding i get the zymic.com page - all "fine" by now. but when I try to add this as a custom domain to my www.sebastiancomsa.99k.org in zymic I get the following error:

The domain you're attempting to assign does not yet point to our nameservers of ns1.99k.org and ns2.99k.org, if you are positive you have assigned them please wait up to 48 hours for the domain to fully propagate. Our domain system will only accept your domain once it points to our server.

your domain is not using our nameservers (ns1.99k.org and ns2.99k.org,). Did you change your dns servers on your registrar or did you do something else?

Do I need to first point my domain to this place's DNS to have the "extra domain" option to become available? I only see the sites they offer. There's no "extra domain" option anywhere. I have a domain I've purchased from namecheap that I want to use. Thanks

I use FireFox and I tried to add a "Custom Domain" following the documented procedure. I could see no place to enter the URL. After a few minutes of trying to get "chat support" (which never seems to have anyone present to answer questions, at least in my experience), I went back and tried again. Turns out the "field" for the URL does not show up in FireFox -- it looks just like white space. But if you position your cursor next to "Domain" it turns into a text cursor, indicating there is a field there. I entered the URL and it took.

There have been quite a few changes at Zymic since this thread was started, in particular with the available domain names so be sure and get the right "name servers" from the list when applying for your own domain.

Hello! How to ad custom domain now? I can't because the function "Add custom domain" is not working.

I did use custom domain and it seems to work, just with a BIG PROBLEM.... Site was ready, with images and animations pointing at a folder "/images" in my "original" domain... and now they wont show, any of them. It seems to me onlything to do is to use absolute links???
any other solution?

zymic has it where the www. doesnt show on the address bar but you can still access your site with www. with your custom domain

my domain is pointing to zymic and was able to add it to my account.
Now, where do i get its ftp details, its file manager ..ect.?
