I've always wondered how to do this, how do you create a font?
well i just use fontstruct: http://fontstruct.fontshop.com/ but fontography is good too

Would this allow me to take and image of an "a, b, c.. etc" and turn them into fonts

Im looking at the program, how would i do that?
I draw mine up in Illustrator first.
well fontographer is better actually if you want to use them as one of your main fonts. aka use it over and over again.
hmmmm, are there any programs that have the ability to create fonts? Like for instance illustrator?
Yeah need to draw the fonts in illustrator using the pen tool. That is what i personally do for my won fonts.

then wat do you do? save it as a certain file?
