I've been a graphic design for a fair few years now and have been working for a small company in my home town for about 3 months now. I had a few days to myself last week so I decided to design myself a new website. This website will be my personal portfolio and I am also going to be designing more.

My friend is a freelance web developer and he's in the process of doing the coding etc so I'll try and post a live preview asap but until then here's a sample image.

Please remember this is my first ever website template and I am 100% self taught with photoshop, I have not used a single tutorial in about 6 years.

Thanks.

simple, not bad for your first template, but the black line between the navigation and navigation content box and the "content" and content box have different widths. Im also wondering how the white space below the navigation would be used. Maybe have another box. but not bad for your first template.

Thanks, yeah the lines will be sorted before it's launched smile.gif

As for the space under the left nav there will be another box which will have either sponsor links or something else in.
