I don't really like it. In my opinion it's too basic, I'm not good at graphics either, but keep playing with this one and it'll get better.

Try changing the font, and text effects.

well uhm..i thinks it's better if you could give a snapshot of your website with the banner ready. eventhough a banner has been designed good, but it may not fit well into the webpage, may be caused by color mismatch, theme mismatch or unclear message etc

btw, i prefer a simple web 2.0 banner. lotsa pixels may distract the viewers' access to the web's contents. just my 2 cents wink.gif

It also depends on what your website is about. At the moment your banner is feeling very psychadelic, is it for a rave? I would also use different font for the heading as it is hard to read.

I dis agree with the text of the banner. as I can easily distinguish the text because of the picture behind it. The picture bhind it is the earth with the words earthvision above it. good banner creators have that connection with them. for a more basic banner you would simply just put a coloured back ground (maybe a gradient) and a very faint pattern on the background with text explaing what the ad is for. as you can see the banner he has made is a little hard to read the text. but with the background picture it helps the viewer read the text.

also you bumped a 3 month old thread (eaxctly that old)

works for me. nicely done. just dont put this on a yellow background site and you are all set.

It is looking good, idea is not bad, no doubt, but i think the font and color combination still can be improved. How about using a bit greenish blue tint, like XP desktop has?
