Hia...

I'm trying to log into my web site:

http://alkemist.zxq.net/

...But...I'm seeing the following error on the screen:

Warning: Unknown: write failed: No space left on device (28) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/var/lib/php5) in Unknown on line 0

Last time I saw this I was told it was a server problem. It's been like this for more than 24 hours now which is the longest I've ever known. I can't see anything on the forum that explains what's going on, can someone enlighten me please? Please excuse my ignorance here because I'm no expert, I'm just a user...explanations using simple diagrams welcome!

I've still had no answers...is there anyone who can help me please?

Maybe I'm asking the wrong question in the wrong section...if that's the case then please at least tell me that...

Anyone?

Trippin, they're on the old server, not vndv.

It's very hard to debug without the code - it might help us if you paste the code.

Swordz that sounds like when he's trying to login in to the control panel.

No, click the link, it appears at the bottom of the page.

Hia..

my web site has started working again, but, it does this all the time now...

One minute it works, next minute it stops working (no code change).

I saw it a few months ago and was told it was something to do with the server (no space left on device = some sort of server problem). Last time it did this it was related to the transfer off of one server to a newer faster server.

The reason I raise the query again is because as far as I knew all transfers had been completed. I preseumed that this was again related to the server, but, this time not a transfer.

any ideas?

oh, and thanks for replying...cheers..Alkemist
Andrew
Actually your server never went through any transfer, and the vndv server (that is being transferred) hasn't ever finished.

Interesting....the error is back again (no code change)...

Can you suggest what the error might be and what I need to do to solve the problem?

I have the same web site running on another server without a problem.

To be honest, because this problem has been getting worse as time goes by with no solution in sight I suspect I'll probably leave Zymic.

I have to say that whilst it is a free host, I've been very disappointed. Over the past few months I've seen huge amounts of down time and lots of sporadic errors and problems.

Come on Zymic...what gives?
