I used search and found every thread about this was closed with an administrator saying simply "No." Why will you not allow this? Is this a really major security risk or something? I'm trying to get a RSS2Post mod for my forum working, but it won't run without this on, which sucks.

This is disabled to disallow hotlinking (I believe). If it was enabled, Zymic would risk being used as a file host - increasing the load for no gain for Zymic hosted sites.

If this is wrong, can an admin correct me?

And if this is true, you won't allow it because you wouldn't have time to check every site and make sure they're not hosting files and stuff?

I can see where you're coming from there, but it sucks for the people who want to use it for good. Oh well.

Basically, yes. To give an idea of the scale of the problem, Zymic has been up for 16 months, and has roughly 160,000 websites. So 10,000 a month, 3,000 a day. Not including changing websites.

I never thought that 4$ a month would be such a big deal... bearing the fact that you can make that in a hour working.

i hope you dont make only 4$ an hour. that would suck.
