I need help to connect to the HOST(SERVER), AND THE DATABASE...PLEASE HOW DO I GET CONNECTED, I HAVE ALREADY TRIED, BUT I AM SUCCEEDING...CAN ANYONE THERE HELP ME OUT ON HOW TO CONNECT TO MY DATABASE AND HOST OR SEVER USING THE PASSWORD:mullen AND USERNAME:mullenmaimunabass_2. The problem is that your db name and user name are too long. They can be a maximum of 16 chars, including your site name, and the _. The solution is to set up a DUMMY site, something like mullen.vndv.com, set up the db ect on the dummy site, then connect to the dummy site's db from your actual site.

ok i will try it out, but what is the host name, and do i have to use any port number in connecting to the host(server)?

Host name is localhost and I don't think you would need a port number.
The BAD GATEWAY error is a common recent problem. Just search and around and you'll see it.
I think the admins already know this.
