I've read through several tutorials trying to figure out how to do this, there are tons of tuts but all I'm able to get working are the "Play" and "Stop" buttons. Below is a preview of the basics of what I'm trying to do.



I need to have it hooked up the an xml play list, that way I can play several tracks and easily modify the list. I need the "song" "artist" and "album" to change for each track, and for the information to be loaded through the xml playlist.

I'm new to flash, just got it today. I've gone through some tuts so I know the basics but that's about it.

If it would help to see the .fla for what I have so far let me know and I'll upload it.

You'll have to do a bit of work to skin it to match your site. Also, you'll have to add in the code for album.
The playlist uses the xspf format.

bezz (or anyone else) ive got the stage set minus my loading bar, I changed the image to fit my needs but kept the same instance names for the various parts, i figured if i did that i wouldnt need to change the code much, if at all, and it would still work. we'll its not, and before i go changing code blindly i wanted to see if anyone could help, here you can get the .fla and .xml http://nascentdescent.com/mp3/ you're going to want "sitemp3.fla"; "playlist.xml"; then the two audio tracks are there aswell.

Kevin, I took from the audioplayer I showed you and renamed your buttons in on eof the fla files you had there and made it work. I used the actionscript from mine also.

I kept running into errors (about 100 of them) every time I tried to test the movie, and then I ended up changing the settings to use flash player 6 and actionscript 1.0 and it worked perfect.

nice trippin i wouldnt have thought to do that. Looks good, my only complaint, i think this was my fault lol i just dont no how to fix it, is that the information only shows uip in "song".
