hello im new at making a web page and well
i tried to install joomla by uploading the files that came in the
joomla .zip file
but im done uploading all files and i thikn i suppose to see some
installation page but i dont see anything and if i click one of the files
ex: index.php it takes me to the installation page but i cant click anything

Well its ok now i managed to install joomla correctly
but now i have another problem im getting this message

Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL




can anyone help me in this one, now?

You have 2 problems, 1 easy, the other not.

Easy first: Host name is localhost, not zymic.com.

Harder: Your user/database names are too long, by 1 character, and there is nothing you can do from your current site. Thesollution is to set up a dummy site, e.g revoluion.vndv.com (although I suspect that exact example is taken) and set up the db etc on that site, then connect to that db from your revolutionchaos site.

i think i got it but how can i connect into the dummy site db from
the real site?

Simple, on your real site, when you need to add the database info, just type the name of the dummy ones you created.

And you still will be using localhost.
