Bread, The error was my fault. When I ftp'd the files over, the files were associtaded with directories from my old hosting site. I simply made new directories for the images and documents and changed the code to find the right file paths. I simply wasnt as familar with File zilla as I am with using Dreamweaver's ftp method. I thank you again with your assistance and time and prompt action to help me solve this. If i can ever help Zymic out leeme know.

I am having the same problems on my site. When I pull up the web pages on my computer they work fine but when I uploaded them Zymic the images are not showing up.

Are you trying to link them from a remote site? If this is the case, it won't work as there's hotlink protection on all domains.

I'm having a similar problem. My website is written in php and I'm using functions(copy() and move_uploaded_file()) for uploading images. This used to work alright at first. But after I assigned my own domain, it stopped working.

Whenever I upload images on my zymic zxq.net domain I get a 403 page instead of the image

Alright, so in the past couple of weeks there have been some issues with my subdomain on the uuuq.com server. At first my customized news editor wasn't posting to my designated page. Ed helped me out with that issue. Now the images which are posted in my blog won't appear. What happened with all of these updates and why is it making general html code useless? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hotlinking is not allowed on Zymic; so if you attempt to link to images etc from another site, they will not work.

Hi,

i have found a solution for the problems with my images.
If you can't see your images try following:

1. Delete your index.html

2. Create a new html e.g. test.html including an image
<img
src="image01.jpeg"; (The image should be uploaded on your webspace yet

3. Your images will be shown now

Note: Only images which are embeded in a file like html will be shown.
If you click on an image which is not yet emebed in your html file
you will get this message:

403 Forbidden!

The address you have entered is not open to the public,
(This may be caused by not having a index.html file in your root directory).

Hi just arrived and I am pleased to be able to join Zymic forum and am trying to set up web page.

Like others here, my images were not showing up. I had them in a an images folder with my index file pointing to them. When uploaded, my index.html would not address the files in the images folder on the host.

If I put all my image files in the root directory and have my index file point to them, all is ok.

jpg's are ok, I am also using external CSS file without embedded jpg in the html, that is, the images are referred to from the CSS.

Is it the case that you cannot use an image folder on the host?

All said, I am grateful for this free service and hope to contribute as much as possible.

On the "http://crystalpalaceplanner.99k.org/palace.htm" page the lack of the image of the founders is due to a "call misdirection", to wit:

A "*.htm" file is not a graphics formatted file ... so a good guess would be the result of any images failure in appearing may be the result of further "call misdirections", If you desire to have the missing images appear you may wish to scour throught your Source Code(s) and correct any "call misdirections" with the appropriate file path for the image source (e.g.: <img src="http://your.site.com/images/your_missing_file.gif/png/jpg/ecetera">).
