Well i thought i would get comments and criticism from the nice people here at zymic. Its partially developed , The homepage and the gallery page are the only two pages that have been worked on at the moment. But you should get the general feel of how the other pages would be like. So what do you people think about it. Should i change anything. What are your feelings on it.
The site btw will offer tutorials on, designing web layouts , graphics, icons, logos using Photoshop and illustrator. Aslo psds, coding for wordpress css html php js tutorials will also be provided. Basically all my techniques that i have u will learn. Theres other things under wraps the now that i will be offering but that will be a surprise

So basically its a tutorial site maintained by myself. If anyone has seen my designs etc then you will know the quality of the work i will provide.

Its really nice but do take into consideration of the things I told you over at Shrud and msn. Btw you may want to create a custom 404 error page (404.php).

The new design itself is also very nice. However I think the background color is too close the template color. Try to either add a shadow effect or make the background darker. I would prefer to see a shadow effect over the darker background.
Also do note that most of your viewers will not be young people. Bright colors tend to be painful/stressful to the eyes of older people.
//EDIT October 13, 2008 12:40AM EST
Here is what I mean by shadow:

I used the following:
Effect: Glow
Width: 1
Color: #6D9692
Opacity: 65%
Softness: 7
Offset: 0

Yeah thanks Sazzad for the great feedback and information . Although i personally dont need any photoshop help i do appreciate it though.
I usually do have a dropdown shadows that is unoitcable to many people but adds a 3d dimension to my designs. it create an illusion of a 3 dimensional object in this case web design and adds depth to the design.

I really like the color scheme, so el naturale

haha.
The layout is good but I find it a bit strange, I think its just because theres like no content so that makes it seem pretty weird. Or maybe im having some sort of glitches with the website?
Cool website though! What are the subjects the tutorials you are making going to cover?

Reminds me of PSDTuts.

The top portion does look a little like PSDTuts but most of the layout is pretty unique. I think that's how most designers make their layout now. I've even seen much similarities to your templates to some others I have seen on the web as well.

Nice job Colin,
Although I must say it's not my favorite, the colors are great, and the ideas are great, but that top part is just too confusing on the eye, I didn't even realize it was the recent work section until I accidentally hovered over it. The search menu is a little to high in my opinion, the text in the nav and the"up coming projects" I believe should be a little brighter, so its easier to see. The content are looks great! at the bottom your copy right isn't centered, maybe an html error? also the Areol box/logo is in the far left, maybe that's how you wanted it?
Any ways nice job keep up the good work!

I really don't like it. Everything on the page looks thrown together very poorly. There isn't much division. Sure there are specific spaces for everything, but upon first visit, you really have no clue what's going on. I like the colors, and I do also like certain aspects of the site, but as a whole, it just looks sloppy.

I like the layout, but i prefer the very first version you had and at the bottom of your site the badge looks a bit out of place

I really like the lights out layout
