I did install Wordpress and everything worked perfect... except for uploding images throug the wordpress image uploader. (The upload process works without any error, but once uploaded, its showed only a blank picture. When i connect via FTP, i can see that nothing did upload!)
Some times it works without any issue, sometime only for one picture, and others (most of the time) it doesn't work at all. It seems not to be an wordpress issue, since i have the same wordpress blog installed locally. And the strange is, that it somtimes works.
Ah.. some days ago, a few times, i got this error message: "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4000 bytes)". But by now, i get no error.
Of course, before asking, i tried almost everything to resolve the problem by myself (even installing a clean new wordpress).
But none of miy attempts resolved the issue (i also searched in other forums).
Anyone has the same issue? Someone has an idea what could happen? Some solution?

Got that problem since wordpress 2.6.2 even at a paid host - but not at every host. Did not have that before with 2.5.1. So it has something to do with the update.

Outside connections are not allowed, and this includes ftp connections.

Have you checked whether the images have been properly uploaded into your directory? i'm having the same problem too... but since the running php is in the safe mode so the creation of the thumbnails has been disallowed. so my best option is to host my images at the free image hosting websites (ie. picasa, flickr, phanfare etc) and link them to wordpress.
