Greetings,

I see that your offering "free" web hosting, and Zymic has done some great improvements so far. I would like to ask if some web site on your server(s) are being overwhelming popular, and of need of more server space, more access of the server, and such as almost such such features of not a shared server but a dedicated server. How is Zymic going to handle this situation? Are they going to be evil, and notify the owner to quit or what? Finally, what if the owner of this ever expanding web site would like a different server operating system such as Windows or Macintosh than Unix/Linux?

------------------------
As I read on the Forum, I found out that Bread, an Zymic Administrator, that Mail is disabled that STMP will not work. That kind of stinks...

Regards,
Kevin

If they exceed the quota set out in the plan we offer, then they are abusing the services, it's not "evil" that we give them this bandwidth/space for free and impose limits it's sanity. At this moment in time, the free plan is the only one we offer so that would mean if they want more they will have to look elsewhere. As to different Operating Systems, no plans to offer more than Linux - because we only want to admin Linux servers.

EDIT: And yes, outgoing mail is disabled, I'm sure you've read the reasoning behind this - because it's well documented on these forums.

You can't blame someone for abusing their plan when their idea(s) and goals are successful. laugh.gif Ah, well, I personally won't be using your services since of this since I like to know what would happen if anything of mine would expand. I would not like a "wall" to be in a way. What if the owner would pay, what would be available and how much would it cost him/her to be supported from Zymic? blink.gif

I haven't read the documentation, but I would believe of security, server resources, and/or spamming would occur if for everyone. Would you give privileges (privilege not a right...) to who've earn their share of this feature?
Alex
We don't blame them, we just also don't support them. We clearly state exactly what we support. Until we decide (and I'm not making promises) that we want premium hosting with larger quotas to upgrade to, this is the only level we support. You seem to have this idea that not having progressive levels of support is somehow "evil" or "mean", but that just makes no sense.

We do not have plans for adding premium hosting, so we do not have planned prices.
