i just install and configure my wordpress blog, but when im trying to uplad a file from te dashboard, its shows this error:

QUOTE

Unable to create directory /www/99k.org/v/a/s/vasan/htdocs/wp-content/2007/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

hen i went to the gFTP (FTp program for linux), and tried to CHMOD from there, but, this errors showed up:

QUOTE

SITE CHMOD 770 2007

550 Could not change perms on 2007: Operation not permitted

what can i do to fix it?

I installed wordpress fine, http://dfdfdfdfdfdf3e.zxq.net/ I'll look into it though.

Edit: Oh when you upload a file, hmm i'll test something.

Yeah, the error happen when i try t upload from the dashboard... and i can't change the file attributes through the FTP
