Ok first off, this is my first attempt at creating a website. I am computer savvy, but am a website creating newbie.
I created an account with Zymic, created a name for my site, and used a ftp to upload the files from one of the free templates on Zymic.com
I tried to use Zymic's ftp but I had to upload files one-by-one, instead of being able to select a folder and it uploads all the files inside. Anyone else notice the same thing about Zymic's ftp?
Now when I try to go to the site I get a "dns_server_failure" error. Can someone tell me if they get the same error, and if so, why?

Thanks in advance

The control panel ftp is not good - get an external client.
Your site is 403 for me - it's been created, but there's nothing there.

I would suggest trying
FileZilla or
Core FTP Lite both are free FTP file managers, Which allow you to upload multiple files/folder at once.
Hope this helps

Yea I got the files there using CoreFTP, but of course last night I couldn't get connected at all. With either Filezilla or CoreFTP.
A friend of mine tells me that I have to edit permissions to allow the page to load so people don't get the "403" error.
What permissions is he talking about? In the Zymic Control Panel, when you click on the little triangle to change permissions on each folder, I don't know which boxes should be checked, and which unchecked.

The problem is that there's no pages up there that I can find. Do you have an index.html?

Yep. But like I said I guess there is a problem with the "permissions". If I can remember I'll look at it tonight.

I connected with Filezilla's Client and I can't edit the permissions. I can choose 777 for the index.html file, but when Filezilla goes to upload the settings, it says....
"550 Could not change perms on index[1].html: Operation not permitted"
Is there another way to edit permissions before uploading, or how to change the permissions once uploaded to Zymic's server?

Any idea anyone? If no answer from Zymic, I'll look for another site to put my first attempt at a website on. Here I thought it would be easy.
