Well after some problems coding wise with the other layout I decided to start a new one. Now I know some people are going to jump on me for using the wood background but what can I say, I just felt it for this site. Any ways looking to improve the site of course, and feed back would be appreciated. The red arrow in the bottom left will be a pop out music player, yahoo came out with one that's still in the beta that I'd like to try out.
Thanks,
Kevin DiGennaro

Yeah thats a really nice layout. The gradients on the side menu are a bit off. To much color contrast from black to white. But the background texture is spot on. Very well done. You are improving a lot. :F

Any other suggestions?

update: I made the gradients darker and it still seemed a bit off, so instead i got rid of that very top one and just made it part of that bar, then repeated the bar gradient on the other two.

I like this one alot more than the other one.
It's improved alot, but I would take off the wood background and put something more original. No offense to it but I've been seeing wood background more and more lately, and it'd be nice to have a more fresh background.

The layout looks a little bland, the dark red doesn't flow into the design well..
As for the top bar, with the logo on it; the gradient gives it too much of a bevel feel, same with the one under the navigation.
Other then those. it's a fairly nice layout/layout concept. Just needs tweaks and you're good
