I'm working now in a educational site focused in Medieval Science and Philosophy, and makin some pre-runs, my tech tester is on:
http://maquinarevolucion.50gigs.net/index.htmlIwant to give them a very rusty and old appearence, since most of the information will be old medieval books, rthe definitive letters will be Plain Germanica for the titles and Arial for the text, there are very nice Capitals, but I don't know, if I used them must be as images in the text, or the user must download the Fonts.

To be honest I don't like it, your coding has some issues, the bg doesn't fit to me. Also the your main image seems blurry, did you just find it and blow it up? I no if that's really the feel you want, www.istockphotos.com has some images similar you can buy for a couple bucks. Font wise, use a web friendly font, using all images for fonts will make your page load even slower, also the web browsers don't read images, so it would not be SEO friendly at all.
Good Luck,

I can't see the medieval part, maybe if you could add some more images to set up the mood.

Agreed with what k.diggennaro said. There are coding errors.
I dont really like the way everything is cluttered together. The 2 column look doesnt look very well.
there is no breathing space. like your tossing everything at once.
Good luck =]
