Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some 'constructive criticism' on a website I've been building
for the past few months, its mainly a video based site, and my goal is for it

The script is pretty good, however the layout makes the site very unattractive. I think you should change that to something more suited for a video site.

The layout isn't HORRIBLE but it could be alot better. The text is too big for me.

The color scheme is non existant . Typography is awful. The content may well be very appealing and interesting i dont know but generally what makes me stay at a website is its presentation and how the specific information is presented benefical to me the reader.

Ok well colors need to be introduced. There are many free templates available. So i would try and download and edit a specific template if you dont have the specific knowledge of creating your own.

chewing old advice, but yeah, the artists text is too large. as for the coloring, you should at least try several shades of the same color to blend the sections into each other.

seeing how black is a shade, not a color, nice content.

But to attract people you need to present it better.
Take a look at youtube, or veoh.com look at how they throw videos at you, then look at yours. :-P

I would suggest brightening up your layout, the brick background is too dark. The black background and white text just makes your content seem too dull and make visitors not bothered to even read it. The overall layout of how your content is arranged is fine, just more colour.
