Full Version: What Is The Best Proxy Host Site?
Zymic Webmaster Forums > General Discussion > Serious Business

I am thinking of opening up my own proxy, I have been reading several "How-to's" and I've been searching out good hosts that will allow Proxies (I'm pretty sure Zymic doesnt allow them right?) I welcome all suggestions, especially from those whom own their own proxy, about where to host, good domain name ideas, how to set it up, how to make money of it (i.e. Google Adsense) and so on.

I am not interested in buying a proxy site, as I cannot be sure it will receive good traffic once sold to me, and quite frankly, this is the web ... how can I trust it will be given to me once I pay?

Anyway, I appreciate eveyone's input and advice (in advance, lol)

I am contacting my host about it. They don't have anything about it in their legal pages so I'm contacting them about it for you biggrin.gif

They are a great host too.

Thank you! I have been looking around and found a place that exclusively hosts for proxies, it's called cloakhost.com, they seem to be offering decent packages. Keep me updated.

make sure you only put google adsense on the front page, because if you add it on the proxified pages you'll get banned from adsense.
MoonLight_Dream
yeah i read about that, there are a few other ad things that will let you place in the proxified, but i dunno if i want to use them. I think it was widgetbucks? or adverse or something

Thoughts?

adbrite works well
MoonLight_Dream
yeah, adbrite was it. do you use them both?
Mortalis9
im banned from adsense sad.gif

I earned $20 a day from adbrite using various methods of weeding out the CPC ads and replacing them with CPM&Full page ads

CPC (cost per click) is a waste, as no one will click your ads. CPM (Click per M [roman numeral 1000] impressions) is much better, as its more efficient and reliable.

I am only running 4 proxies now after selling 6 of them, and I'm still working on them.

I'll have the links to them in my sig when im done here in an hour or so
MoonLight_Dream
is that $20 for all 4 of them, or per proxy?
Mortalis9
all

My host replied....

Yes, you can run a proxy if you wish, but you will need to get a private IP address if you need to listen on a port that you choose. (Without a private IP address, you will need to use a port number that is assigned to you.)

According to me the best proxy site is the samair.ru .......you cannot block this site on any server....My college has tried to block this site but are not able to do that as this site refreshes in every 30 mins.... smile.gif
joeking
Cmdoz services is perfect try it..

Go for a VPS over a shared proxy host as it will pay off in the long run. Plus a VPS is 100% customizable. I have a proxy that receives over 350 unique per day and it runs smoothly and stablely on a VPS, using a shared host it would be crippled.

EDIT:
@coolman010
I honestly have to say that you are retarded. Just because a site changes their content every 30 mins doesn't mean that the domain cannot be blocked as it is still the same.
OutRemer
maybe punchrocket proxy servers
