Hi Everyone,

I installed Joomla again today (I had it installed and then I deleted everything via ftp then uploaded & installed again). The only error I got (which was critical yet I ignored) was: This server does not meet the minimum requirements because there is no Zlib support.

I got it all going, but then when I try to install something I get this message:

"The installer cannot continue until Zlib is installed."

What should I do?

I got the same problem! Don't know what to do! Is this a temporary problem or zlib is not (& was never) supported????????????

I am sure Joomla has worked before. I searched around and it may be something to do with PHP safe mode being on. Can anyone help?

I'm having the same issue as well

edit - just read that with premium hosting, the safemode is turned off, which is what is blocking the zlib necessary for joomla. dry.gif

I tried that before, but got this error
"Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/www/uuuq.com/x/x/x/xxxx/htdocs/Joomla/components/com_jooflickrgallery15"

Any help?

It'd be much better if zlib is supported on zymic. excl.gif

during joomla installation you may have noticed Zlib package is off in the server.. only server admin can help out..

zlib is disabled for some security reason in Zymic.
