I need to get php mail enabled and I guess I am supposed to do that by contacting 'Jack' but I don't use irc and was wondering if there was a way I could get a hold of him some other way. If he could contact me. Thanks

the mail function is not allowed on this server,

to be truthful though i see no problem having it enabled,

no security risks that i can see...

The reason that mail is disabled by default is that we have enough problems with being used as a host for phishing sites without being a spam mail server too. The $10 payment discourages them.

There is a link to our IRC on the forum homepage via www.mibbit.com which will get you there without downloading an IRC client. As IRC is the easiest way by far.

I am going to be having a contest on the site and the program needs to email the contestants with their next instructions.
I will have to wade through how to irc....I am a bit blonde though....so if I am on there making a bunch of mistakes u will know why.

I used 000webhost for my mail testing, if you don't get it enabled here. Mail is a pretty simple function, so once it works on a server with mail() enabled, it will work anywhere with mail() enabled. That is, of course, unless you are hosting permanently here, in which case you would have to contact them.
