hello, i'm fairly new to webdesign but i wrote my site in html and css, and when i go to edit it in control panel all the html has gone and some wierd code is there in it's place, is this normal?? i normally just code using notepad so will i have to make my changes on my pc and upload them each time??

Can you show us what you are seeing? I think you are having an UTF-8 conversion problem. But I need to see what you are seeing.

Yeah Sazzad maybe on to somethING. it maybe the character set you re using. Try using a different editor. Like notepad ++ which i use to code everything by hand.

Well in general Notepad should be able to handle coding. UTF-8 is a standard now. I think you're pasting the code or uploading the file wrong.

SlipperyFish, do you see code such as   &lrt; etc.?
