How can i install wordpress on free account. If anyone has done this before can anyone give me hints or sites i can use to help me installing and configuring word press on my account.

Does it work on the free account of Zymic??? If you have installed it what do you recommend for good sources that can help me with the install of word press... Or do you have any tips i that can help me. I am kind of a newbie here

Read the readme.html that came with the package.

thanks i will do that also when i finally fix it i will post the steps...

Just:
make a database,
a database user,
assign priviledges of the db,
upload the files and run the installer
(if it's needed set the permissions of the files via ftp as shown in the readme file )

I found wordpress works on the free account as long as it meets the requirements. Also i have installed it and configure it with additional plugins. Althought the plugins are giving me trouble i bet with a little reading i will get dem working esp. askmit Thanks for your help guys it was real help. If you mean Akismet, you won't be able to activate that plugin as it needs outside connections which zymic doesn't allow. All the rest should be fine.

how i can get free account?

I was referring to the zyminc free hosting account. I will upgrade to the paid version very soon though i like what i see so far and word press is actually free.


Yes it is true i cannot activate the askismet. I will be using an alternative though it works just as fine as akismet or at least i hope
