I am trying to install joomla (it has many files), so I was wondering if I can ftp zip file and than extract it on the server. It would be much faster..

Yes, i am ftp'ing right now. Is joomla 1.5.9 o.k. to run on your servers? Anything special for .htaccess I should know about??
