Okay im making a site about C programming now i need a little help on installing phpBB3 because ive got so far and i don't know how to get passed the

Database settings

does anyone know how to fill this in correctly please ?

because ive never installed phpBB3 before and i don't know what i have to do so a tut would be helpfull im sorry if it has been posted before.

did you activate your database?

Login into your zymic master account, than log into the sites account.

In the site account you will see something that is has to do with database. (click on it)

Now you have to create a database name. (you can use any name you like just make sure the name isn't to long)

Create a user (any name will do and any password => the password has nothing to do with the accounts passwords, this is the databases password)

When the database and user are created you have to set privileges to the user.

Make sure the user has all priviliges.

When that is done you have all your information there.

Database name, database username, database password.

Hostname is always 'localhost'


Now, i think that this site will not let you allow to make the config.php file. (i don't know if it is possible with phpBB3, but normally it will give you the ability to download the config file. Do so, and upload to the forum root, go back to your forum and you should be able to get on the forum. (it is possible that you need to remove 2 directories from the server to be able to enter the forum you create.)
