Is there something I did wrong or mistakes in what Zymic allows or something?

First of all I installed IPB long ago but didn't need it and un-installed it.
Then when I needed a forum I re-installed it but this time it didn't work and gave errors.
No one ever helped with those.

So I went with phpbb3.0.4. Which was working awesome!
TILL I decided to install MODs to it.
After that it's been nothing but trouble.
It won't let me install Auto Mod to install the mods automatically, says something about headers not defined.
And the mods I get error such as

And I get that every MOD I try to install. Some I end up getting to word from forgetting to purge cache.
Others never do work after that, and continue their errors and I just end up giving up.
I asked for support on the phpbb support forums and they said check with my host.

Is there something not allowed that I'm missing or something?
PLEASE HELP!! T_T

It depends what mods that you want to install.

you have to see that the mods you install are for your version of the forum.

(Don't install a 3.0.0 mod on a 3.0.4 forum, unless it is specified that it will work on that forum aswell.)

The thing is that some codes change and the mod won't work on the changed php files.

also did you mod the files correctly.

Also some mods do need some tables in your database. (mostly the updates are done with a install.php file)

Also, some mods don't work with automod.
Hikaru
I know all that. I did everything right. They're saying it's the host.

Here's what automod said when installing it.

Lol, my bad, didn't read it well enough.

Anywho, looks like you would have to re/upload/install it all again me thinks
Hikaru
Ummm no? Phpbb3 is free as far as I know.
Brandon
Bump ^

Install what? The board or just AutoMod?
And if I re-install the board, won't I lose all the posts?
Felixmarum
phpBB is open source, and open source is always free.

if you can go into the acp of the forum, than backup the forums database, just to be certain.

You can install multiple forums on 1 database you know. biggrin.gif

What about skins, edits and stuff that's on this one?
And would that fix the problem?
