You guys may remember that I once requested feedback on this template/site before. Well recently, we re-did the design for the school and now they told us we could re-sell the current design. I was just thinking how much would you guys say we could earn from it? Last time we did this design, we got 10K for it. Half of which went towards the hosting and other fees. The rest were split up to the coders and designers.

Tell me how much I can get from it: http://trcs.info

It comes with a simple custom coded front-page blog with a cPanel webmail login. Coded in valid XHTML, CSS, and PHP. Uses mySQL for database connection.

It really depends on who you're selling the design too. If you sell it to a big company who has the money and loves the design, you're likely to be able to make 2k-10k as they pay for quality. That's why most web design companies online say they charge 1900+ for a "basic" website. They're not targeting individuals like myselves, their targeting bigger companies and corporations.

Look at the Wal-Mart website, or McDonalds. If they don't have people working for them (which they probably do) who manage the site, they probably paid HUGE moolah for it.

But if you're going to sell to an individual, a coded layout, who wants to use it as a personal blog or something similar, I wouldn't look to get more than a hundred or so - maybe a little more.

It's great quality and such, but individuals have less money than corporations, therefore they'll generally go to a layout that might not be as good, but is 3/4 the price because we're always looking to save money. Whereas corporations will generally not care about spending alot of money on a layout (10k) when they make more than 10k in one day - it's not a big dent in their wallet.

Jetteh22 is of course right here. Unfortunately in the world of free lancing you really take what you can get or decide to hold on to it and wait. You might want to try to sell it on some different sites you might get an offer. If not you could always turn it into a simple website on web design and web hosting or something and try to earn some money off of it while you look for a buyer.

Good luck,

Thanks Jetteh and Kevin,
I actually did post it on a few forums, most said around 200-300. Which I think is pretty decent for this kind of layout. At the office, I am actually working with a client who may be interested in this layout. I really don't like what the world has become. Before we could sell layout for high prices, but now, everything is soo hard.
