Hello. I have transferred all the files necessary for a Wordpress blog. I went to the cpanel and then to the MySql tool and created a database and username. Then I assigned the privileges to the username. The last step was to edit the wp-config.php file and insert the database, username, and password.

When I connect via http to the site I get the error "Unable to establish database connection".

I left the server name as localhost.

Not sure what to do at this point. Any help is appreciated.

what is the database and username how many characters have you used ? it cannnot be more than 16 characters otherwise you will get an error

you believed that you have set up everything correctly.

Please enter the same password twice, it may consist of any 5-15 characters.

after setup is complete everything you need to click " Assign Privileges " them to be active.

note: do not click "revoke"

now I think you can use everything is good then
